Whether you're outside roasting marshmallows, enjoying some camping in the wilderness or cozying up to a wood burning fire at home our fire starters are just for you! These starters are an ideal solution for starting fires easily and efficiently, without the use of harmful chemicals. Our Wax Fire Starters are made from all-natural ingredients and provide a clean and sustainable way to ignite your fireplace, fire pit or campfire. The soy wax completely burns up so there is no residue or remaining wax, as long as the fire can burn in full before being put out.

Our Wax Fire Starters are made for outdoor fire pits, wood burning fireplaces and campfires. Do not use in a gas burning fireplace or stove. Our starters are made with a combination of fragranced coconut, soy and sometimes beeswax. Also enjoy the natural fragrance provided by items that may be added to your starter including cinnamon sticks, cloves, coffee beans, rosemary, dried orange slices, flowers and pinecones. Each fire starter is about 3" round and weighS approximately 2-2.5oz and provide about 20-30 minutes of burn time. 

Each set comes with 1, 4 or 8 fire starters. Your choice of a Coffee Blend with hints of Bourbon, French Vanilla, Cinnamon, Cedarwood & Cloves OR our Fresh & Calm Blend with hints of Lavender, Vanilla, Citrus, Spice, Cinnamon, Clove, Rosemary, Ginger, White Tea, Thyme & Sage. You may also choose, when available, our Seasonal Scents which will have a blend of current seasonal fragrances. 

Directions For Use:

-Place one entire fire starter under wood, logs or coal and light the wick

-Do not light the fire starter in your hand

-Never leave the fire unattended

-Keep away from childrent and pets

-Do not use as a candle or wax melt. This is ony intended for campfire and wood burning fire places only

Plesae note that fire starters are not made to change the smell of fire. Fire Starters have items made by Mother Nature such as sticks, pine cones, flowers... and these items will die out after a while so the Fire Starter Packages will arrive all white, tan, brown or beige, but may turn a different color as the product sits unused for long periods of time. This will not effect the burn once used.

Unfortunately, we do not allow returns at this time.  If we made a mistake or your items arrived damaged, we genuinely apologize and will take care of that for you. Please email thatsmycandle@mom2jax.com with your order number and details of the damaged or faulty candle and we will replace it for you.
 

At the present time, we ship out of  Pelham Manor, New York using USPS Priority Mail. Most orders ship out within 3-5 business days. Custom orders will take a little longer. Our candles are carefully packaged using Polystyrene (30% recycled) packing peanuts. We take special care in packaging your candles to protect them from weather and possible damage while in transit. However, in exceptionally hot temperatures, your natural wax candle may soften or melt slightly. Please be sure to allow the candle to cool at room temperature for 24 hours before lighting to ensure the integrity of your burn.

To prevent fire and serious injury:

Trim wick to 1/4 inch before lighting and keep debris out of wax pool. Never burn longer than 45 min - 4hour intervals (depending on the size of your candle). Set candle on heat-resistant surface and avoid drafts. Always burn within sight and extinguish before leaving room. Don’t burn near things that catch fire. Keep away from children and pets. Don’t extinguish with water. Always let wax harden before relighting, touching or moving.

Please know that each Item is carefully handmade by me. Because all of these items are handmade, they may have slight imperfections such as: minor discoloration of the wax, slightly off-centered label, modest frosting, tiny markings on the outside of the jar or top of the candle wax, etc. None of these impact the quality of the candle. Additionally, using a mixture of soy and coconut wax yields much softer and delicate candles and melts. Please also be aware that some fragrances promote rusting of the inside of the candle tins (another normal scientific process).
